Folded leaflets: panel widths and a fold template
Work out the panels of a half, zigzag, roll or gate fold leaflet, with the shortening your printer gives, and download SVG templates of the inside and outside with fold lines and bleed.
Inside
99.00 mm | 99.00 mm | 99.00 mm
Folds at: 99.00 mm, 198.00 mm
Outside
99.00 mm | 99.00 mm | 99.00 mm
Folds at: 99.00 mm, 198.00 mm
How it works
The starting point is the open trimmed size. In half and zigzag folds all panels are equal. In a roll fold (three panels) the panel that folds in is narrower; in a gate fold two outer flaps close over the middle panel and are each narrower than half of it.
How much narrower the panels must be and how much bleed is needed is up to your printer, depending on paper and machine: enter their values. The tool adds no values of its own; with 0 the panels are worked out without shortening.
The outside shows the same panels in reverse order. The SVG templates are full size (mm), with the trimmed size, bleed, dashed fold lines and each panel's width, on separate layers.
